Road to Adventure

Canadian Rocky Mountains by Kamloops

Every summer we travel home. We always go to the same place: Waskesiu in Prince Albert National Park. This place is very special to our family. My wife and I are both teachers so we spend nearly the entire summer at Waskesiu Lake. Almost everyone in our family also spends their summer vacation there too. It’s a family tradition. This year, we are not spending the entire summer at our lake.

Last summer we talked about adding another destination to our summer routine. It was a hard decision to make because what we know is comfortable, safe. More importantly, we love going home to spend time with family. At Christmas we decided to go for it and booked a 2 week vacation in Parksville on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The picture above is in the Canadian Rocky Mountains on the road to Parksville. It is a picture of adventure. We are trying something new. In a couple weeks we’ll tell our family all about it when we see them at Waskesiu in August.
