Hard Rock Hotel Punta Cana

Front EntranceIt’s no secret that my family likes to travel.  We’ve taken our kids on cruises, trips to Europe, road trips to Canada, cross country flights… pretty much anywhere that my wife and I would like to go, the kids have come along for the ride.  Just because you have kids doesn’t mean you have to stop living YOUR life… so if we want to travel, the kids are going to travel with us.

Over the summer we had a trip scheduled to Nantucket and Cape Cod, but looking at the weather we decided at the last minute to change our plans and head to the Dominican Republic.  I know that not everyone can do that sort of thing, but we are certainly glad that we were able to.  We had thought about all-inclusives in the past, but wasn’t quite sure there would be enough for the kids to do.  Turns out they don’t actually need THAT much to keep themselves occupied.  A pool, a beach, and an endless supply of drinks was more than enough to make them happy.

After researching many establishments, my wife settled on the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Punta Cana.  It had everything that we needed including great food, great beverage, great pools, and a huge assortment of nightly entertainment.  There might be others that have better food or others that have better entertainment, but when you are choosing a resort like this you have take into account what is important to you.  In our case, we wanted a place that had beautiful pools, a nice beach, a good spa, and a golf course.  Everything that we needed, the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino had.

The Beginning
About Daddysincharge

After 15 years as a News Photographer in the fast paced world of television news, I am now knee deep in Legos and laundry as the stay at home dad to to little boys. It was my choice to stay at home, so don't look at me like I am some kid of freak show. We're all parents just trying to raise our kids the right way. Some might be better at it than others, but if our kids love us for who we are, who cares.
