It all started with plain old rainbow confetti sprinkles.
We put some on oatmeal That was fun. We bought fun sprinkles: dinosaurs, hearts, stars, glitter. Before long the sprinklification spiraled out of control.
Sprinkles on pancakes. Sprinkles on pudding. Sprinkles on yogurt. Sprinkles on toast. Sprinkles! Sprinkles! Sprinkles!
Before you call the Sugar Police, we don’t use a lot of sprinkles. Just a little pizzazz.
Then something amazing happened. I was putting Hemp Hearts on my yogurt and my son shouted, “Sprinkles! Sprinkles!” Hmmm… they do look like sprinkles. So I put some on his yogurt. He loved it.
Thus began a new era of sprinkling in our house – Nutritious Sprinkles. Food that was once repulsive became delectable. Asparagus… yuck! Asparagus with nutritious sprinkles…yum!
