28 Things My Kids Teach Me Everyday

I don’t know much. But I know that I try my best each day to teach my kids — showing them right from wrong and how to treat others. Ultimately, I think my kids teach me at least as much as I teach them.

Here are some of the blessings they provide me every day:

1). To smile

2). To hug

3). To dance freely

4). To look at them when I speak to them

5). To be honest

6). To take the time to explain things

7). To be patient & slow to anger

8). To stay healthy

9). To allow them to accomplish things on their own

10). To give them my full and undivided attention

11). To speak in positive terms

12). To show their mother than I love her

13). That one extra book at bedtime is just fine

14). That I still love to eat graham crackers, goldfish and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches

15). That cartoons rock

16). To drive the speed limit

17). To sacrifice my time for them

18). That work is secondary to family

19). To keep a journal about their adventures, accomplishments & crazy comments

20). To take more pictures & video than any of us will ever be able to look at

21). To make a fool of myself in public if it will make them laugh

22). That pillow fights rule

23). To love unconditionally

24). To cultivate their natural gifts, not expect them to be interested in the things that interest me

25). To make up words, songs & accents

26). That peeing outside is more than acceptable; it’s expected

27). That my life is ridiculously better since my children were born

28). That sleep is overrated

How about you? What are some of the things that your children teach you every day?
